If you touch them every day most likely yes. You only need to do that ones and that's it.

silent, You can tell if the eggs are fertile by looking at the color. If the eggs are good they will get darker, infertile eggs will stay clear. I breed open loft and spend alot of time with my breeders so they are real tame. My birds will sit the nest and allow me to pet them without jumping off the nest or young.

I use a small flashlight(pen light) at night. Usually around the fifth day after they are laid! Hold the light up against the backside of the egg and it should illuminate the inside. You should see blood veins if it is good!

Last fall, I had two eggs get cracked! I used clear fingernail polish on them! It worked on one of them!

I used flour and water on a slightly cracked egg once.Less toxic and it works like glue.

Touching them is bad, but eating them is good!

DISH ===> "Buddha Jumps the Wall" and Pigeon Eggs.

In Fujian, China... dishes are usually marinated in wine and taste sour with a tinge of sweetness. "Buddha Jumps the Wall" is a famous dish with an equally interesting story. It is made from an assortment of materials: shark's fin, shark's lip, fish maw, abalone, squid, sea cucumber, chicken breast meat, duck chops, pork tripe, pork leg, minced ham, mutton elbow, dried scallop, winter bamboo shoots, mushrooms and others.

NOTE: These are seasoned and steamed separately and then put into a clay jar, mixed with cooking wine and a dozen or more "PIGEON EGGS."

The jar is firstly covered and put over intense heat and then simmered on low heat later. Four or five ounces of liquor is then added while the ingredients are kept simmering for another five minutes. Voila! A dish fit for a king!
