Hey George,

You've got a Lavendar (Spread Ash Red), a Black, another Black, and a Mealy Bar. Two of the three are Ash Red the highest and most dominant of all colors, and Three of the Four are Spread factor. And then a Recessive Red.

What makes these "soft colors"? If any of them should be called "soft" colored it would be the Rec. Red as it can by carried by both Cock and Hen.

Can you elaborate as to why these seemingly Hard Colored birds are being called "soft"?

Thanks,
Eric

Eric, my rec reds are more of a washed out with a real light blueish tint, I don't consider these soft like many RR I see in other families, these are just blue checks masked by the RR.

Right Scott...so you'd consider the Rec. Reds to be soft in your loft? More of a factor that "could be" produced than a "will be" produced progeny? I can buy into that.

Thanks for your reply!
