Hey All, What I consider my number one pair in the third round have three eggs. Closed system, no chance any other hen could get into the box, and they are fertile with several sets of young. I use fosters, so my question is will a good set of fosters be able to raise three squabs or should I give one of the eggs to another pair? This pair of fosters are very deligent in care and feeding.
Thanks in advance!!!

Thom i had a hen that laid three eggs several times and always raised all three i wish i had kept her for a foster but let her go when i changed familys--- If i had a extra set of fosters i would give them the third egg the squabs i think would be better fed if seperated and the one should be very well looked after. ---------- Ty Vapor Trail Lofts

Thanks Ty, that makes sense, my only problem is my operation is so small by neccessity, I only have a very limited number of fosters and no other pair within the same time frame. I quess my question is, would I be better off to sacrifice one of the eggs? I absolutly hate the thought of losing a squab from this pair, but I also want the other two to be strong and healthy. Again thanks, Ty!!!

Thom, DonB regularly raises 3 squeeks with one pair of fosters, seems to have good success with it.

Ty, Roy, I'll wait to make sure all are fertile, nature could solve my problem! All three fertile, this is a very good pair of fosters! I'll give all three a chance!
Thanks, you guys are the best!
