why do you think alot of flyers dont use corn in their pigeon diet?
Does corn have any significance in the pigeons diet?

Corn is a fatner! Really puts the weight on them! Cracked corn is really a no-no in my loft! If it gets any moisture at all, it usually starts canker in my birds! Haven't used it since I was a kid!
If I was to use it,it would only be in the coldest part of the winter and it would only be whole pop corn! ---------- Val

Bigwilly I don't use corn because it tends to make my birds fly higher .. Now corn is good in the winter time it will generates heat and will keep the birds warm . lately i have been giving more corn because i gotten lazy to taking it out of the mix bag it comes in..they don't sell the mix here without the corn.but i cut down on the feed to keep them flying lower. ---------- Ralph....

My breeders get corn cafeteria style feeder all the time.I use the big stuff(maize). ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts
