Good writting skills Milo!I enjoyed the story and the way you wrote it.I understand all to well what you are experiencing, and truly feel for you.I hope you're right, and things get better for you next year. All we can do is to keep trying, and hope our desire to breed & fly our birds wins over our despair of loosing so many of them!Good luck to you.

Wow Milo,Sweet tale but a near tearjerker.I have my other breeds to play with and fly which always keep me busy, but last 2 days finally have gotten the A-team up and back with no attacks tonight they kitted like glue and were pulling nice spins not quite in concertina fashion but hoping they do that too before fly day Apr 29th.But it sure is sweet when they do get to fly unmolested,,no doubt.Take care of those birds.

I found the passage by Milo to be a well thought out and impeccably detailed story of a man and his love for his birds. Very interesting reading!

As a matter of fact, it was one of the best manuscriptic writings I've witnessed in years. Not since I read a book about Robert Stroud (The Birdman of Alcatraz) have I been so emotionally attached to the words of a birdman.

Great story Milo. Do you live in Hacienda Heights as well? lol

It seems like there is no point at sometimes when the bops are just picking you kits apart. But we love this great birds too much to get rid of them.

Thanks for the positive comments. Ya, there were a lot of emotions running through me the other day. Tried to put into words how I was feeling.

Mobile isn't a bad option, but I don't think I have the time for that type of commitment. I would also think that a falcon attack on a mobile program to be even more devastating.

Take care guys.

Milo, good to hear from you !!!! buddy, there are just some places that these birds can't be flown, yours is one of them.
I hate to say it but your options are simple, quit flying or move , I can feel your pain from your words and it isn't worth it to your birds or to yourself.
Throwing birds out just to be slaughted is cruel and I can tell that aspect plays on you heavily , and far too many do it without even thinking about it, myself I'm just not built that way.

Hey Scott.

It wouldn't be so grim if it weren't for my hic-up with Paratyphoid. Surprisingly, I have had some great success with my stock program the past few years. If the birds were healthy, I would probably have a couple nice little kits to fly. I have good years, and bad ones. You really got to have thick skin for this. I've come this far. There is no turning back.

With regards to the BOP's, I am trusting mother nature will fix things. I am confident that there will be a natural balance. The scales are tipped so far one way, that it is only a matter of time that things sort themselves out, whether it be by disease, legislation, or just plain 'ol food supply.

A big reason I am in the position I am in now is really some advice you gave me a while back. It was basically stock program first and competition later...If things allow, compete. I took example by the way you approached things. So I thank you for that.

Have no fear. I will be back in action before you know it.

ps. A book? Well there is a thought for some lockdown therapy...lol
