WOW. Nice. I would want to see a yellow roll that deep. I've actually have never seen a yellow roll that deep before. Mines are blacks only, so that's what I see most of the time. I like those yellow for sure, they look like true spinners. ---------- W.Cha

Nice Pensom bodies on those yellows. Look healthy, strong and very productive. Put'em on the right cock and you should have something quite dynamic in the air.
....well anyway
I've witnessed yellows on several occassions roll 30ft-40ft in the early 1980's at a mentors home in Berkeley, California. His birds came from a breeder named Andrew Kopp in Massachussets. I think Adolph (my mentor) had crossed a Dun and Blue Grizzle to get those yellows.
Rumor has it that it's hard to get them to roll deep with style, control and stability. I hear that the yellow checks often work better in many families than do the straight yellows.
Good luck with them BigFase!

Marcus, I have some of an Andrew Kopp bird mixed into my family. That bird really made a big impact in my bloodline. He was actually a grandson of a bird had that won Kopp's clubs individual fly seven times in a row... Gomez

This is a Cock bird that my buddy is flying. He is from the best performing yellow family there is to be found in my state. My buddy has about 5 of these yellows, all twins in color, all full siblings. Since I am not a big fan of yellows or color birds by nature, I only snapped one photo of the best looker in the lot. Even that was more than I cared for to have in my SD card ;)
Hope you enjoyed,
Thor

Thor I have a hen stocked thar resembles that roller you posted. Her sire is a red grizzle and dam a red grizzle too. Actually the parents are nest mates and perform 20-40ft. I have some cream check and ash-yellow and recessive yellow. Also one di-luted yellow hen that is a dandy. Thank you for sharing and the same to everyone observing this site. Ray Sanchez.

Over the years I have seen some real dandy Rec yellows and Dun's. the true dilute dun not the ash red dun. Both the yellows and the duns performed great but they were few and far between. Not just the good ones but the colors themselves. Most dont give them a chance. They are both colors that were and are in the true BR just not alot of guys that breed from them. At least in my area.
