I have just mailed some information to all members of Region 5. There are a few addresses I did not have, but I am getting gathered up. I am going to try and see as many people as I can in the region in hopes of getting some ideas on how to improve the club and the region. There are some breeders I would like to interview as well in the region.
I am trying to get up off my ass and do something(LOL)

I know you will Nick! I feel horible for popping off last night! I didn't realize you were the new RD, I heard that you had turned it down! I will email you tommorrow and try to make some sense of my post!

I have no problem with you and did not consider it as popping off. But, I am always happy to hear from you.
We got to be honest with how we feel or nothing will ever get done or changed. It is difficult to anger me; I easily anger others(LOL)

Nick if you want some information from me call in the early afternoon or after eight in the night. If you want to hear about NBRC and W/C problems existing for many many years give me a call. If you dont want to hear the truth forget about calling me. I think you mean well but you have some friends that are quilty of lowering the standard of the Ideal Competition Roller. How so you think you can go along with their ideas and serve the honest members in the 5th. Disrict? I know you are aware of some problems that have been going on because everyday they are posted in different sites. Good luck in trying to help the roller breed Nick. As ever, Ray Sanchez.

Hey Nick,
Good job taking on a tuff job. I have heard a lot of things over the years about district 5.. Here are two things I know will help you do a good job for your men.. Don't play favorite's and let the same few preferred roller men get the prime fly times every year like they have for last 8 or so. Start the fly's on one end one year and the other end the following year. Favoritism in a region is a sure way of causing unrest.. When the same guys get choice fly times every year, while others have to fly in the heat of the day or just before dark every year. Your going to have problems. Let the guys have a say or input as to how and who the judge will be. Getting opinions and making your members feel included should go along way in helping to calm things I would think.. I understand about favoritism and it will be avoided. I don't know a whole lot of people yet in Region 5, but those that I do know are fine people. Jerry Holder; Dave Hafner; Tony; Eldon Chaney; Dan Galarza and a couple of others. Henry Cook is no longer in Region 5 and I know him. The Southern part of Arkansas is now with Mississippi and Lousiana. Do ya know Henry has to give up his birds?

Yea, it's a sad day. I sure hope Henry is OK! I have only met him once but he seamed like a really genuine person and loved his rollers! I doubt he would be getting out unless he had no choice.
On region 5, It's none of my bussiness. I was just trying to help. I have heard that a few guys get to fly early and pick times they want to fly every year. That point was kind of made, when a few of those same guys said they wouldn't fly if they didn't get good flying times. Just moving the fly times around end to end seams to keep most happy. They only want a fair chance and getting to fly a good early fly every other year seams like it would be fair to all. KGB

Hey Nick,
Ray just read the WC line up for region 5 to me tonight.. That sounds like a great way to set things up. Did you guys always get 3 days to judge the region? With the way you have it set up, I don't see why anyone had to fly at 6pm or later. Looks like you may have long term job down there! LOL KGB

Nick, I got your information packet and your forms! I work the next three night and I will get everything filled out and back to you ASAP, after I look at my work schedule!
Thanks for showing some motivation! I'm happy to have you as an RD also! You seem like the kind of guy that is gonna set standards instead of just follow them!
