Hey fellas. Hope everything is going well. I am asking anyone to keep their eyes open for some birds that are banded NCRC and Smitty. I lost some doing training 5 or 6 birds. Thank You

Hi Bigwilly,
godd luck getting them back if you were flying out of Granite Bay. I've been Cooper free the last few weeks but have seen a falcon a number of times.
Come around Friday if you can.

Good morning Ken...
Granite Bay?
Nice community. Great place to raise pigeons... but I don't know about flying out there. You guys in the Sac-Roseville area would know.
I was in Granite Bay a few years ago visiting a business man's home. He had some type of multi-level marketing scheme (similar to Amway) that he was soliciting from a million dollar home that he built.
I will never forget that place... it had a heliport in the back. I think his last name was Clark.

Hey will, the best way to get young birds back is to have a name and address bands. You can write anything on them you want to. I have some that say, " I am lost call and my phone number is on the band". That is it. A friend in woodland lost some birds and one had travel here to Sacto about 25 miles one time. He got the bird back because it had his phone number on its band. But if anyone finds it and they have to look up the NCRC and it will take some time but guys will get a bird back that way. I think most people would not know what to do with a pigeon they find except give it to someone who might have pigeons and they should know how to return it. I once had a homer trap in with my birds and called the guy who said he let 60 birds out 15 miles away and only half made it home and I was the only person that had called him. His number was on the band also. You might put a little note on the leg when flying young birds the first day out incase they get lost. That might work too. They try and find home the first day lost but if you had them hungry like most kits the firt time out, they will be looking for water the second and third day and die by the fourth or fifth day with out water. But good luck, hope people find them and get them back to you. just thought of another idea, you could cut out some small stencil letters and numbers and spaypaint your phone number on young birds tail feathers, right on the top with out the tail being opened. black paint for white flights and red checks and white paint for checks and blacks. OK enough already huh BIll C

Hey guys thanks for the input. I do have a number on my bands so hopefully I will get them back. Hey guys, if it takes me a while to get back with you its only because I have been having computer problems, should be ok soon.
Hope everything is going well
