Yeah I know that there are great birds in Canada but once in a while I'll see a bird for sale on the internet like Tony's Ruby Rollers and I want them so bad but I cant really, or I will have to wait for months and have to pay quite a bit to quarantine them. I think they should open the borders, to a certain extent, for these birds. They should just have a check-up and then be good to go. Because if you think about it, birds/animals like Canadian geese and other various birds, are crossing the borders each year carrying whatever. There are probably several wild pigeons crossing the border too every year. Or the quarantining period should be shortened. Some birds are having to be quarantined for months against Paramyxovirus. Aren't there ways to just have a quick check up and give a short /cheaper of method of medication to protect the bird from this? What do you guys think?

You need a USDA certified vet-check,vaccination and the bird has to be kept separate from others not in the shipment 30 days then a vet checks them when you cross the border into Canada. It's not impossible.Thems the rules dude if you go to the CPFA website all the info about importing exporting birds from US-Canada is there.
