Question guys today i lifted up the nest to reveal a young but at lifting up the bird the other egg that wasnt hatched yet fell in the nest bowl and cracked no blood came out or anything but just shatter marks on egg put it back in to see if it hatches has this happen to any of you guys and did egg hatch i messed up i know just wanted your input.

I have used a drop of clear finger nail polish a couple of times an had success, couple of times it didnt also!

Kelly (Santandercal) says that you can make a paste out of flour and water and that it works! It would be non-toxic for sure!

same happened to me and sorry to say egg didnt hatch but you never know good luck

Hey Gabe this has happen to me when i have gone to check to see if they had hatch.As you say one has hatched already so the other should be almost ready, You just help it a little.

Just dropping it hard enough to crack it can kill the little one too much shaking going on.Some are stronger than other tho and you could be lucky.You'll know by tomorrow.

Depends if where the beak pokes through if there is tape there might not,,,

I just had one that didn't make it out of the egg.I decided to take him out and see!He bled some,but 2 days have passed and he's alive and kicking!

Well guys looked under today and thought well its still shatterd so it probably wont hatch well to my surprise i turned the egg over and its cracking put the egg to my ear and you could here it working its way out thanks electric man i did what you told me and it works.

Hope it turns out to be a keeper!

Got one in the nest right now, patched it probably 10 days ago! Still looks good under a flashlight! Got my fingers crossed, its out of my best pr of Urbans!

When I use the polish, it is very very sparingly! Just enough to cover the crack or chip!

THEY ALSO MAKE A EGG REPAIR KIT. MY FRIEND USES IT FOR HIS CHICKENS AND RARE SPORTING BIRDS.I CANT AFFORD IT AND I HAVE USED A CHICKEN EGG TO PATCH WITH CRACK THE STORE BOUGHT EGG AND USE THE SHELL AND THE INNER LINER TO MAKE A PATCH.IT WORKS 75% OF THE TIME.
