Watts, Besides them birds being afraid of an monster with a recording device pointing at them, they look real nice. Good luck with them and let them rollllllllll.

whhats up dale the pedegrees say joe borges 272 line stuff i like them ill see whats up when i get that chance to check you out buddy ---------- Watts uppp homeboy
hey guys quite a few guys out there heve this line of birds thanks in part mostly to joe kiser, and joe borges by way of herb sparks. most better known with this line of birds-kenny billings-don oulette-scott cambell-tim decker, just to name a few of the top guys for performance their is none better. but this famaly is not for everyone as they mature in the second year they are even better but again this are not your jacconets.which in just a mater of months they come in this famaly requires a little more detail and patiece but well worth the wait thats why they have fallen out of flavor due to the bop.since it takes longer to get them to come in to the roll. but they also make for a better out-cross than anything.
Herb Sparkes is the individual responsible for the line that is now called 272 and in actuality it was the children of 272 that created the strain 313 etc. The breeding power of 272 was known by Herb years before anyone received birds from him. We all forget that the hens that Herb bred 272 with were already proven producers before 272 ever was mated to them.
Hey Laron, I fly the Cup on the 4th, maybe you and 7001 can come out and check them out, my team is primarily 272 with a touch of Henderson. ---------- Dale SGVS http://builtforspeedrollerlofts.bravehost.com/
good info hey DALE so those birds from the 272 line that you have did they come into the roll real fast or it took them a long time ---------- Watts uppp homeboy
Nick, Like centralvalley stated you need to be patient, mine come into the roll about 4 to 5 months some even 6 months, the trick is to breed alot of them and to have Patients!!! I have birds in my #1 team that are 3 years old and still tearing it up, for the most part I am happy with this family and the end result. you need to come down again so I can share more with you! ---------- Dale SGVS http://builtforspeedrollerlofts.bravehost.com/
Birds coming in at 5-6 mo. are far from being late developers. Myself I want my birds to have the physical and mental strength to handle the roll. I could move my family to developing earlier but then I would loose it on the stability end , that isn't something that I would want to do.

i think that five to six months is ideal to start showing you some kind of good spinning but to start peakng out around 9-12 months old is what i want t see in the birds. So far i found one hen and cock that produces some real good and fast that are starting to live up what i want in my own family. My foundation hen and cock can be traced back to scott and kennys birds that can be traced back to the 272 line. Here is a pic of the only cock bird i stocked to move my famliy forward
