Chor,
Thanks for the photos. Can't view them at work due to the fire wall but will check them out when I get home. Trolling the posts during 3rd shift!

Now those look like they been flying. Nice to see birds that other people agreed on being spinners - not just the owner. Thanks for taking the time to post them...
Both looks like a very small sized Roller? I like that black one as it seems to be a harder worker with the misplacement of feathers and has nice curves.

Thor, I would consider the Blue bar a medium bird and the black a medium small. I prefer my birds to be the strong smaller type of bird as they seem to have more velocity. Though i have seen some fast bigger type of bird roll also. JMHO

Chor,
I was comparing them to the tray. Side by side, that Pepper head doesn't seem that much bigger then the tray itself. If that is medium, mine are gaints.
How old are those birds? They look young - yearlings at best...

Hey Chor/916 and Sac spinner. I just started getting into rollers about 3 months ago I have purcashed some Rubys from Tony as well as some Rk rollers from the roller ranch in Tennessee.I'm up in fairfield California. About a month ago I purchased 4 birds from a feed store Sunnyside feed in San Pablo California. One is a White grizz cock pearl eyes banded NCRC 918/08 one is a yellow W/F hen banded NCRC 980/08 pearl eyes also a pair Black self pearl eyes. Hen banded 1245/07 and the cock banded 2477/07. I was not interested really about buying birds from pet stores etc and only wanted to deal with good breeders. I settled these birds in about two weeks and flew them. The Black self hen is off the chain tight spin great velocity and depth of at last 20ft. The White grizz is also very impressive contant performance is more consistant with his performance then any of the 20 birds I have spins with real good volocity and depth of at least 10ft and he's not a year old yet. The Black self cock is ok he flips maybe 2 to three times and the yellow is just starting to come into her roll. The Black self pair produced eggs a couple of weeks after i got them and the eggs have hatched one of the squabs died but the remaining one is doing really well and seems to be very healthy. I say all this to say these were feed store birds and the white grizz as well as the Black self hen is out performing all my other birds thus far and I only paid about $12.00 for them. I notice that you are a memember of the NCRC and since I'm in the bay area I would be interested in getting involved with this club being that I have 4 birds banded NCRC that which I'm truely impressed with 2 of them. maybe you have some history on these birds based on their band numbers. If you can give me some feed back it would be much appreciated. you can reach me by email at RooseveltS@Dreisbach.com. Thanks everyone for all the great information I have received since finding out about this site.
