Nick. Thanks for posting what Tom wrote.I had seen it before and thought about posting it earlier but since most folks know I am a color breeder of birds that roll I thought someone would think I was trying to stir things up like we used to.Those days are gone but we all did have some good debates didn't we? LOL. The only thing I disagree with Tom is he said Brown wasn't a color found in pure rollers.According to Bill Pensom brown was an accepted color and mentions it many times in his writings.David

David, glad to see you around here.I think its important for all to contribute their point of view, thus giving this site more equilibrium in posted topics. From there,we can take what we want and toss the rest.As we gain experience,we tend to change our point of view and this is always a good thing! It's important though,to keep an open mind!!
If we completely disagree with something,i think we should do it with tact and respectfully.I know we don't always(myself included),but we should.

I read somewhere that the Brown color was introduce to the performance breed by the late Gary Gilbert a fellow name Norm Drecksel a living legend in the state of Utah says that it took 20 years to get the roll down out of the Browns.that he had some quality Browns in his loft. Thats why in my take there is nothing wrong with color as long as your goal is for performance first and you stick with that game plan. cull cull cull and cull hard..its not easy but many have proven it can be done..I won't do it, others have done it already i just take what you have and save me years .. ---------- Ralph....
