In your oppinion as far as percentages, what would be the best family of birds competing right now? Also, what are your main birds that you are using?

I have seen plenty that could get the job done with a little refinement. We Just need to breed towards a purpose once we find out what we want from the pigeons. If the bird/s are not taking in the direction of your purpose and I repeat," YOUR PURPOSE" YOU SHOULD NOT USE IT IN YOUR PROGRAM PERIOD!
My base are my smoke birds with a little Norwood and 1220 in the background and a lot of the Higgins/Reed stuff up close.
My ideal family;
1)depth- 15- 40'
2)style- smooth rollers to very fast spinner
3)frequency- 1 -2 times per min
4)tight kitting is a must along with stamina
5)stability- to be able to last for years, not roll down,bump, or lose work rate with age.
6)developement- to start spinning short(10-15') at 3-5 months and really bring on the 2nd season up to 40' max.
7)kit sensitivity- when the break they all should go. The kit should even break on off days but to a minimum(waterfalls)
8)flight- fly low and slow with a figure 8 pattern
9)good homing instinct- once settled, they should be willing and able to get home if possible.(weather permiting)

sounds good to me smoke you are right I'm with you. hope all is good with you. how is the fly going smoke with shut up or put up fly. are you flying this weekend.

hey silver tail they are getting rockfish and a few bass right now. next month it should be better they are getting some big barricudas and bomitos right now down south they should be here in a month they aare nice size fish i will let you know for sure. are going to get in the put up or shut up fly
