You know how people are always say "make sure you chew it good" (because your stomach will have to work twice as hard to do the work), well doesn't this kind of refer to pigeons as well, in regards to bigger chunks of food, such as pellets? Has anybody ever even thought of this, that when you give your birds bigger chunks, that it may take up some of their valuable energy that could be used differently?
