Hello guys hope all is well. Today as I was looking over the squabs in the nest bowls, I noticed that a couple of them look as if they had the runs. I am concerned because I use sand in my nestbowls and did not want the sand to dry blocking them so that they cant use the restroom. What do you think this could be? Most of the squabs bottoms are dry however a couple of them have real wet bottoms.

Hey Willy, the squeaks are producing heat with that sand underneath them that's why it seems to be wet and can't dry quickly. Plus all that poo they let out can't dry fast enough. If your squeeks look sick try some antibiotics to help them out. Put it in the drinking water for the parents to drink to feed to the babys. I have done this and it seems to work well for me. Also if you are using young breeders, they tend to have weaker young too(5-8 month old breeders). Hope this helps.
