You should have been at Rich Hayes's W/C fly today in Montana. They will be talking about this fly for along time. It was awesome I have never seen anything like it. The weather was perfect and the birds did everything right. Rich works with his birds harder than anyone I know and he deserves every point they scored. Congrats Rich Hayes

At a boy, Rich!

Is he, by any chance, related to Dennis Hayes?

Didn't see any eagles but a cooper came in a wrecked havoc with his 2nd kit. He didn't lose a bird to it thou. His birds not only can roll but have some pretty shifty hawk moves also.

You were probably at his place on the river out of Troy. He lives in Polson now and the view is just as nice only it is the Mission Mountains in the background. He's comming to my place tomorrow and I'll tell him you said Hi.

Efren, in Montana it is mostly 1 or 2 fly's per day because of the distance between flyers. His 2nd kit had a hawk move in on it and broke it up. It scored a few points but not many. Today there are 2 more flyers flying.

Dexter, I'll tell rich H. today you said Hi. Also tell Rick S. I said hi and that he missed a awesome fly. Aren't you the one that outbid me on the Hayes birds last year? How are they working out for you?

Luis,
Most of his breaks were 10 birds or more. He flew 19 birds and I think he had at least one 19 bird break and several 17's. They flew for over an hour and were still rolling. I think they had 47 or 48 breaks. I've only been to his place once that he hasn't put up a really good score. His birds are fairly deep and frequent. After being at this one I don't see how it is possible for rollers to perform any better.

Hey Scott,
I thought you were going to move to Montana?? Garry Barres and Steve Holton panel judged it. I think they both had the same number of breaks and were pretty close on the same score. It was a sight to behold if you're a roller guy. One thing I haven't mentioned was the way his birds kitted. It was almost like knowbody wanted to be away from the kit and knowbody wanted to miss the roll. They'll be at my place today. Wish I would have flew my birds first if you know what I mean!!!!
