Tony you have some real NICE birds. Is it always easy to sell all of your offspring? Don't ever think to yourself.. "wow that one is definitely a keeper. I am sure we all do that just by seeing it in the loft.. ;) All I know is I couldn't do what you do. Keep up the good work. Your giving some people very good stock! :) Your's are what I would call Perfect Birmingham Rollers.. All I know is that some of yours up for sale right now and at other times.. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT SELL, I WOULD HANG ON TO THEM!

Hey Andrew, thank you for the compliments! I do enjoy helping others get their hands on quality stock. It is my goal in life to see a Ruby Roller in every loft! LOL

And yes, hehehehe, it is quite often that I shed a tear or two for birds going out. I just hope the person getting this stock will get as much enjoyment from it as I do. However, I do keep birds from time to time to keep enough birds for my kits and little breeding projects.

Why not share the rest? As long as I have the breeders, fly and make good selections from the air and ground, I should be able to continue breeding quality stock.

In the last 2 weeks since I am preparing my birds for the World Cup prelims on May 3rd, I have watched my A-Team give me ¾ turns and many 7 and 8 bird deep and quality breaks, I am reminded why I love the Birmingham Roller so much, just the sheer thrill and pleasure watching these birds roll (with coffee in hand!)

Thanks for your post!

Hey I just have to say that if I lived in the U.S. I would 100% buy that RUBY-08-067 HEN Red Bar White Flight! That bird is amazing. She is a steal of a deal for anybody.

In the last two weeks, In these constant 20 -35 mph winds, I have watched my birds fall completly apart! LOL I've screwed up their feed, which in turns, screws up their flying time, their height they fly, all of it! I'm trying hard to remember why the heck that I wanted to compete! LOL

Good luck Tony and all you other guys that have yet to fly! I commend you on your efforts and patience! It ain't easy holding them together!

Damn birds!

Only chumps sell culls!!

If you let a bird go and don't have regrets, your a chump!

With that said, keep up the good work Tony. Only heard good things of the birds you let go. Hope to see them in person some day. How far are you from Anderson, MO?

From MN,
Thor

Thor,
I would go as far as saying "Only theives sell culls."
In my loft culls stay in the cull box at least till there is no more space to hang onto them or if they are hurting so bad from rolling down. (Moderated)OOpps!Excuse me,won't say that again then. But realistically, that is what's gotta happen with feed prices these days.

Hey All, thanks for the positive comments, I fly this Saturday. Today, 2 falcons dived on my A-Team and before all was done, 2 Ruby Rollers had an up-close and personal BOP Incident.

Nothing lost but tail feathers off an outstanding Red Bar cock. These 2 dove down to the kit box and and trapped faster than they ever have. What a couple of smart birds! :-)
