Get ready SE Kansas and Missouri! We've had multiple touchdowns all around us with in our county! Sirens are going like crazy! Golfball to tennisball size hail just hammered my house and cars!

Another front coming, so button down guys, gonna be a bumpy night!

I overheard on my local newstalk radio that there's a 75% chance that a major earthquake will strike the California bay area region within the next 30 years.

The Loma Prieta earthquake, also known as the Quake of '89 or the World Series Quake, was a major 7.1 earthquake that struck the San Francisco Bay Area when I was 24 years of age. Never can I forget this killer quake! I was in the Hayward library doing some corporate research and the next thing you know the whole building started moving and rocking in a herky-jerky like motion.

Whew-doggie!

I distinctly remember books falling down and kids screaming (I was near the childrens book section using a microfilm scanning machine).

Thank GOD I'm still alive. The carnage and devastation from this tremblor is a reminder of the awesome force and power of MOTHER NATURE to many people who live in and around Oakland.

Why would anyone want to live in California. I know we have a few Hurricanes but I have lived through probably twenty or thirty without a scratch.

Or is it just the way the news protrays it. From Florida it looks like it is either on fire, or the hills are sliding down the moutain, or the ground is shaking.

Both storms had big hail and big wind, but they were just short blast! One car took some damage!

The first storm had lots of rotation, but the tornadoes didn't develope till they got a few miles north of us! Had sirens going off a few times! I was gonna go to the cellar but the UFC was on and I wasn't missing it! LOL

Other than missing my work out last night, all is good! Thanks for the concern!

Sippi,
i agree with you on that one.Southern Cali before they dammed the Colorado and sucked it dry was nothing but desert.Probably never had so many BOP either before man went and changed the landscape. But then look at Florida before they drained it.Nothing but swamp an crocs.Go figure,eh!?Too many people on this spinning rock.
