My birds did miserable in the May winds again. Frustrating to work so hard over last several weeks to get them ready to go and then have them blown almost a mile away...that's all I will say about that. :-(

Forecast is 20-25 mph winds and 40% chance of rain on the 6th!

I fly my birds in 30 to 35 M.P.H. WINDS So i can be ready when the big day comes.....
Ask the judge that day i flew 30 mph and kitting was fine..lol the weather was predicted at 40 mph even at that i would of flown them............lol

Well kinda! LOL
My birds lift well when there is a good breeze, which I get deeper rolls and the break more together when they turn into the wind! Over about 20 mph though, and they might drift over a block and you can't see them for the trees! Other down side is when they get tired, they come down low and use the wind to race through the tree tops like racers!
As far as rain, my birds have flown in the rain several times! Just hope the judge is up to it!
Hoping for the best, exspecting the worst! My name will go on the books either way! Might have a DQ after it, but it will be on the books! LOL
The most important part to me is, I'm hoping the judge will spend time and discuss my birds,my lofts and kit box set up, and management of the birds!

Bill Roy is the man to beat out in our own little area, he flys good birds and I saw some great individuals roll but the wind just did a number on his kit too.

Just a quick good luck to those in my area. Sorry to hear that some didnt do to well due to mother nature..Good luck to those that havent flown..Wish I could have made this one, but things are still rough..Not allowed on the property still, so kids are still trying to fly my birds, and feed for me..Hope all is well with everyone!..Your friend, Jerry

We just had like 3 weeks straight of 20 mph or more!
I'm much happier with the 3" of rain and tornado warnings we've had all day! LOL
My neighbors just came out of the cellar a few minutes ago! I got two kits flown during the threats! They had some good lift today! LOL
