This little hen was bred by Danny Horner, He sent it to me for the LVRC challenge. after it was cancelled , he gave it to me. The hen is now doing around 20 to 25ft and she is the one the leads the kit and Triggers the action. she spins like a ball and has never did anything wrong( bump, dangerous,).

George,
Looks like she has some freaking long toe nails :) I notice that on my bigger sized rollers. Nice lean tight feather bird.
Here is a question. Do you find that she is more of a lead bird than a trigger bird or both?
What is the difference of the two in your eyes? Some of my best producers now were lead birds that committed to the roll only when the others followed. To me a trigger bird is one that sets the team on fire. It can even be a tumbler. Remove this bird and the team shuts completely down - becomes stiff.
A lead bird is one that setups the birds up for a break. What is your take?

Thor that bird you describe to me its a kitmaster.with out that bird there is hardly no action or none at all . he rolls from the front of the team and like you said it don't have to be a bird that rolls with depth even a tumbler but it is frequent and doesn't have to be a quality bird neither just that leader that works and slow the team down ..this is the kind of bird that will help you guys in competition..I had one like that a 06 hen but than turn into an out bird had to pull it out. goes to show you never know what you have until flown for two years which is hard to do because of BOP.. ---------- Ralph

I have had 2-3 birds vye for the lead spot. Whats cool is when two birds try to outdo each other in the lead spot. I had that happen a few weeks ago and it was frikking AWESOME. ---------- V99 blue sky single beat in cadance performing now earth beckons the winged drawn breath is let quickly forth orchestral movement follows

I have seen birds battle each other in the air a few times. I would concur.
I think the quality of our birds really come out when they try to out due each other. It is a sight to see when the whole team goes to war at the same time. I all ways believe that the very best rolls will only be seen when they go during a break. I have seen many times when my birds would pull out looking to see where the other birds are at. Many times they would rip one again if the other birds are still deep in the spin. It is funny that our birds are battling for our attention.
And some people think that our birds have seizures... ha! ---------- It's all about the friends we make :)
