I know a lot of you guys has been in this hobby for many years and you guys are the ones with the knowledge and experience to teach and guide us newbie in the right directions. My question is, has any other "Big Name" fellas show up in rollerpigeon.com such as Jerry Higgins, Rick Mee, Niebel, etc., etc.? It would be a great experience to ask those pros some questions and to get their inputs from their own experiences for their success. I see there is a lot of guys.gals with many years of experience in the birmingham roller hobby but the majority of all of us is currently raising birds from some top legends. Just a thought.

Monte Nieble is deceased for several years now. As far as a family goes probably Billings or Campbel.

Rick Mee; Jerry Higgins; Niebel is dead; Dave Moseley from the UK; Kenny Billings; Scott Campbell; Kieth London; Steve Smith; Cliff Ball; Richard Miller; Richard Apadoca(sp); Jim Bowen. Many others come in and just read, like Eldon Cheney.
Sal Ortiz is another. There are others who just hide behind another name. Eric Stephens; David Strait; Dave Vang is in the chatroom often; Paul Fullerton; Ken Firl; Ray Sanchez.
I know I have missed some obvious ones and some not so obvious.
How many more do you want me to name?....all of these guys know thier shit. Lots of "big" names.

You guys forgot all about Harry Ashcraft of Ohio. He has posted on these boards several times.
This man has been in the sport for several decades and has some of the best performing Fireball Rollers in the world!
Yes that's right ===> The world!
Ask somebody from the midwest who knows a great deal about Fireballs and their history, There's a 50-50 chance they also know of the champion performing roller "FOXFIRE" and Harry Ashcraft.
NOTE: Mr. Ashcraft has an advertisement (featuring FOXFIRE) in a 1980's Special Roller Edition of The American Pigeon Journal.

Hey Nick,
I'm curious as to why I'm a "big" name. I don't contribute much. Mostly just an opposing side most of the time. Am I taking your post in the wrong context?

Eric,
Has nothing to do with how often you post; has nothing to do with how much I agree with you. I think you have studied the bird and have developed honesty in your opinions and advise. You are an officer of a roller forum so you are active in the hobby.....a lot of plusses. I have talked to other solid citizens of the roller world who have respect for you. It is an easy call for me to make.
