Do you guys think you get better birds from the 1st and 2nd rounds of the breeding season?Better birds than later in the season?I've heard this before and just wondering if ya'all beleive this to be true or just a myth.----------

Kel.... when I was in the racing game years back. Our BEST birds were produced from the 1st & 2nd rounds. The 3rd round, which we considered the late hatches would never be ready for the first young bird race day. As for the Rollers I myself, DON'T see any difference in 1st, 2nd or even the 3rd rounders. This comment is soley MY own belief....LOL

hay kel,i hear that some people throw there 1st round of eggs away but on the other hand i seen 1st round of young birds just spins as good or better then later rounds you have see your self if the 1st round spins like the later rounds..................donny james

I toss the first eggs laid to make sure the next will be all fertile.I guess the amount of fly time the earlier ones get makes a difference before lockdown.
