The problem is me Paul not the birds. I am feeding them too much and now I see what you guys mean about Flying them hot, Wow. I fed my young birds a little more than I do most of the time because the weather was going to be windy and rainy. When I got up it was so pretty I thought man I just got to let them out and watch them.
Not a good idea! How are you going to watch them when their little specks in the sky. They went high and far and the wind kicked up and all the sudden they were gone. A little while later they was back and still high. They flew for an hour or more before coming down to earth.
Learned a good lesson their. When they go out hungry they don't fly high and in about 20 minutes when I whistle they come down and go in. I keep that in mind next time.

Well Alex, I won't own this bird or any bird for that matter. Getting out of the hobby.
This is one of my Billings line birds. They all look great!

Bertie......Sounds like a GOOD lesson learned..You may want to consider checking out a Weather Site and the barometric pressure..I am a FIRM beliver in it now.. Ever since I LOST a kit(12)of birds last summer. I have a weather site on my home page that I check out EVERY day, even if I don't fly my birds. Keeping this in mind and keeping checks on the feed may be a good tool to USE in the future.

Bert, Once bitten always a vampire,or roller man. ;)
Keeping the rollers will cut down on blood loss. I'm glad you are keeping a few.
