Some of you folks said that you guys have never heard of it and so did I...so this is how it looks. Does the protein and ingredients of this product fits the needs that I should be using? Or is it too much/less....is it good or bad? I did do my homework about the grits but the feed store ran out of the red grit so I didn't want to make another long trip (gas these days) so I figured I give it a shot knowing oyster shells and garlic was a positive nutrient/supplement for my birds.

Wow flo, looks kind of big to me. Hope they don't choke on it! But then if they can get some of this corn I'm feeding down they can get that easy. Looks and sounds like good stuff.

Flo, That grit looks good. I feed the gray Red Cross grit and it looks alot like that except the chunks of charcoal look bigger. Does it have a real strong Anise or black licorice smell?

looks big in the bicture because I zoomed it in but it is quite small in regular view. It is about the size of a medium peas found in the 15% and even smaller. The garlic scent is there but it does not overdue the smell. I'll see if it workd out for me or not. Only time will tell. ---------- FLO www.blacked-out-loft.webs.com SAKTOWN, KALI4NIA

Hey wasup Tofu & Fresno....long time no talk buddies, how you two been? I've been out of the hobby since the last time I mentioned. I stop in here every now and then and read some old post or catch up all these roller people and their arguements. It's what drives this hobby. If everyone agreed on the same thing this world would be boring. Anyways, I miss my birds, every morning when I come home from work, I look out the backyard and watch some white racing homers fly around. I think some dude from a few blocks flies them (like 60 of them) and it's pretty cool to watch. Maybe in the near future I will get back into the hobby again but until then, you young fellas keep your birds close and stay out of trouble. Your birds are the best influences to keep you guys on the right track. Have fun and best of luck. Peace out Bros.
To Windjammer: I am not sure if that's the manufacturer or not...it was a one time thing but I did like the way my birds ate them. None of the grits went to waste and they chowed down like popcorn. Other than that, I have no other knowledge of who made them or what so ever. I purchased them from a local feed store.

yeah it was a big lost for me..he stole all my good ones and left me all the crappy ones...that good to hear that they are working for you..yeah they are b/c when i went to buy my 2 pair he had good looking birds..didnt get the chance to see his bird fly but the the 2 babies he gave me were badasses...one turned out to be a roll down and the other one was doing 10 - 20 ft for the first 2-3 months of flying..but they were both stolen shortly after that..
sorry to hear about that..i experienced it twice too...

Rod, I'm not sure how much it cost as I bought a few bags of feed along with the grit. I think the grit was probably around $12 a bag for 50#.

birdman,
Thanks for the info. Last time I bought a different grit, it costs me about $7 for 25lb. It doesn't have that garlic though. I suppose those prices are within range unlike feed prices.
