Hey George, I think it all depends on how many guys are flying competition with what families and how good of a kit manager they are and LUCK! LOL ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

I must say I have learned a lot from each Judge that has judged my kits in Competition.Did they follow all the rules? No but they scored according to what they liked to see. I can tell you that when Don Simpson judged my kit in the 11 bird Finals he changed my direction big time with my rollers. He told me as he shook my hand that what he was going to judge me(I was the first to fly) and everyone else was for Velocity.Anything that didn't meet his Velocity standard wasn't going to be scored. The birds he scored me on is now in my breeding loft and nothing but Velocity will satisfy me now.LOL. Had I known this before I would have changed a couple of birds that was only 1 pointers with velocity but chose to put 2 pointers with less velocity in to gain points. The lesson I learned is that if you have Velocity every thing else will already be in place. I think most Judges take their job serious and judge to the best of their ability. David

These days any family can do well. The usual proven families are still doing good. Success will depend on the fancier's abilities, the birds on the day of the fly, judges and a little luck.
