High pressure is bad for rising thermals and low pressures are good until they get too low then you have rain. I have forgotten where the median range is but I think around 29.75 but dont take my word on that look it up.

It isnt just high pressure. It is high pressure with no low level winds. I live in a small town supported by a paper mill. When the sky is clear blue and the smoke is going straight up it is a dead giveaway that if you fly a kit they are gone. If you are close to any industrial sites that have smoke stacks you can use them as a barometer.

High sky; birds fly high. The higher they fly the bigger the chances to loose them.

All over flies is management error.

Here on the westcoast when we get a fast rising high baro.,clear skies and no wind (at ground level),,look out.As they go up the winds at the top are higher and lifting and it can lift them to outta sight and up ther the winds can be wicked.Ghandi.............Happened to me once but they all came back over the next 12 hours. These Monty birds have great homing factor. Now I watch the weather more closely.

FRENCHROLL... go on a weather site or go on a site that explains how a barometer works. Look at this site it will explain how it works. www.eastbourne.gov.uk/weather or
weather@eastbourne.gov.uk, its better then trying to explain it to you. This is what I use and go by. Hope this will help you out.
