Hello Gabe,
I was on a 12% mix all last year. Gave it to my older kit birds and to the ones that I pulled from the nest. Gave the real young ones a good portion at first. Had no problems with it. ---------- Efren Lopez SGVS http://lopezloft22.bravehost.com/

Yea Gabe, I guess it depends on your particular family of rollers.. I feed 12 percent to them when they are in the weaning pin, as much as they want for a couple of weeks, then once they start to really respond the feed (acting really eager) I start to put them on the program and I feed less but bump it up to 19%, This is done for a additional few weeks and once on the wing and kitting/activity is there then its back to the 12%.. I adjust accordingly from this point on... Hope this helps..

I use 12% on all my kit birds, young and old. I sometimes use wheat when preparing for a big fly, but if the birds are atleast 9 months old or in their 2nd season.

Gabe....I feed my youngsters, ones that are just weaned up to about 3 months old the highest protien mix that I can get. They need all the nutricition they can to help them grow. And all they can eat in a given time period.. ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul
