That could very well be some sort of opal. Roller bronze is usually on a dark check and is the usually the result of Recessive Red in the bird. I am by no means an expert on color but that bird has the bronze that my Miniature crest have. You wont find that bronze in rollers I have been told. I spoke to my buddy that is much more versed on the genetics and color factors and he says that that birds is blue check carrying dominant opal.and not a good looking one at that.( his words not mine) LOL. Indigo would have the blue bar tail as this does but would look more like a red check and have the indigo throughout the neck also. Says he has birds at home that look just like him. Thats a good looking bird Hector. It looks more like roller bronze to me. The thing that is throwing me is that he says the bird had only a couple spots of bronze a couple years ago. The bronze on your bird looks more bronze and his bird looks a lot more sooty.I really dont know Hector or give ahoot one way or the other just more curious than anything. Right on Jessie, good to see you still have that bird, I breed it it is off my foundation cock. I always called it a kite, and it is heavy in my family of Ghost Town rollers. Are you still using it as a foster???LOL hope you get a few off it. yea I really dont take offence to the poor color thing, as the bird servrd a purpose for me, and thats why I gave it to you.. looks like it changed alot.. Good luck withit. I got some really good lookers this year,, Ill post them when I get a shot @ it ---------- "Home of the Ghost Town Roller" K.C.R.C
