I have seem some guys use this. It looks like a big "T",6'-10' above the kitbox. Either attached to the back of their kitbox or put out in front of the kitbox several ft.Does this really work. The reason I ask this question is, with my set-up my birds land on the loft roof(the loft is 21X18)and mill around before going into their kitbox. All my kitboxes are under one roof. Does this really work and HOW do I get my birds to land on the "T" and then fly directly onto their own landing boards?? Any advice will be appreaciated.

Paul, I don't use them but have seen them in action. The birds seem to naturally land on them due to being elevated above the box. From there to the trap depends on your training I would guess, just get them real hungry the first couple of times so they don't hesitate to trap.---------- Ron Borderline lofts

Hey Ron.....Iam glad I wasn't imagining that. I know when I was using my individual kitboxes I never had any problems with the birds. They would land the top of the kitbox and head for the trapps. But,now it seems like because they have a BIGGER roof area to land on they, they land and take their good old time walking back to their landing boards, but they DO trapp good. Thanks for your response.

they are called landing poles they are used alot in the uk i believe one of the reasons is to stop birds from bouncing when they are landing. my birds land on my garage and then jump down onto the kit boxes which are situated directly behind it which i dont have a problem with as it gives them a bigger landing platform. ---------- cheers trev
