Hi and welcome back in breeding rollers.
Lock them up in a nice individual breeding cage nice size. I first cut the feathers by the vents for both the cock and hen so the hen gets fertile easier. Feed them oyster shells and where the sun hits them nice. If they are good age for breeding the hen should laid in around 5-10 days when they mate. 18 days usually the eggs hatch. Feed them a nice mix of food or pellets but some times they are not use to pellets and don't eat them. You should be ok and always have food in front of them with oyster shell. ---------- SALAS LOFT

Do you like a pasty white woman or a chick with a tan?
The birds absord vitamin d thru thier wattles and feet. The rest of thier bodies are covered in feathers which harbor little pesty critters that dont like sunlight or being forced into it. Their chill is enhanced when they get some sunlight.Isnt yours? ---------- V99

Copulation & fertilization: •For most birds, copulation involves a 'cloacal kiss', with the male on the female's back & twisting his tail under the female's

pigeons sex organs are inside so they will do that cloacal kiss. Let us go hard core and try the following link.

But I still don't understand the birds and the bees concept? All I know is that some birds eat bees. LOL! How did the metaphors work on that one? Please keep your response clean and only for the birds please. I already know that some animals don't need males to fertilize themselves.

Hilarious....
Cloacal Kiss? Now that's political correctness.
I've heard about all these breeding TECHNIQUES before. Trimming vents etc. I guess if you have pencil di-- birds it may be important. A pencil di-- is a cull in my loft.
