This weekend was cutting down some trees for my pigeons to have more room to fly Etc. In doing so I inadvertently disrupted the nest of a White Wing Dove and found two feathered, but young babies on the ground. MY wife had a cow, so I took the little bird and put it in a nest with a roller with one hatchling. It's been four days and the baby is still alive and the pair are feeding the baby White Wing!!! Just would not have believed it!!! Has anyone else had much success as such doing this?

Dove are a close relative of the pigeon, so I could see it working!

I pair my rollers up al the time. If I have two pr that only hatch 1 apiece and there close to the same age, I put them together! For some reason, my last round had about six that hatched only one youngster! Doubling them up worked well, but there are a couple that I don't which were which! So my records are kinda goofed up!

This last round, they were back to producing two at a time!

Good luck with the dove, It will make a great pet!

In the 70's I had a close friend that used his doves as fosters, for his rollers, I don't see why it would not work the other way.
