This is my first post but i've been visting now for about 6 months.I've been reading people's post's about Mason pigeons and just wondering how many of you actually have Pure George Mason pigeons or do you have half mason pigeons? My name is Joey Canteloupe and i have been raising pure George Mason pigeons now for about 13 years.I obtained my birds from my very good freind Al Luna here in Arizona.Al had these birds imported in from George Mason in the late 80's with pedigrees.Al and I keep good records so we can track what is working for us.The george mason birds we have fly high, kit tight, and do bigbreaks if the handler did his job right(Me):).Yes i have made plenty of mistakes and i also have made it to the top 10 twice in the world cup.I can't say much latly on how i been doing with them because i've been working alot of hours for the past 5 years.I hope you all the best keep them flying.

hey,
joey how are ya ? i to flew the pure Mason birds back in the 90's from AL Luna and Joey. They have some great Mason birds. They are both great flyers and breeders of the Mason family. AL Luna was alot of help to alot of people here in AZ . I learned alot from AL Luna. (i think the fire is lit?) lets go JOEY. Give me a call so you can come see my Niebls fly. i have now flown the Monty Niebel family for 3 years and love them. very fast and tight and tight kitting family. so give me a call joey and will get Jose over and fly some birds .

Howdy, Ive noticed the name Al Luna mentioned here more than once ,,,,I used to visit a roller freind ,, Manual Luna he lived in lake Elsenor Ca. I gave him a few birds years ago, in trade for doing some work on My bike, anyway I was wondering if Al Luna and Manual Luna were related? anyone? Good Luck to all this Year! Joe K.

Hi Joey...

What's the average performance like for a kit of your Mason birds while in the air?

15ft-30ft on Breaks

....or

Velocity1 & 155, here's a question for you desert dudes. Do you have problems with overheating your birds in the June, July & August heat? You don't have fully enclosed kit boxes do you? My problem at 5600 feet is the wind! I get less fly time because of the wind than any other factor.

I'm up in Snowflake and just wondered how 115-120 degree weather affected you guys. I'm not into the competition but find it relaxing and fun for the kids.

I understand that but do you have to ventilate more or can you use a closed kitbox to house them in? I would imagine that a closed one would be an oven, what is your set up like?

Right on. I have a brother in Mesa that I go see a lot and another in Chandler. I go and ride quads in the desert occasionally during the winter. My email & Bio is on my profile.

someone i know had some masons, and he claimed they were a very nervous bunch. they'd fly off their nests when he entered the loft, and was curious if others found that to be. btw, he got rid of them because of that.

Yes topnotch they will break big when in condition.Mine fly at a good height and not low.Good luck to you also.

Steve49-My masons are not nervous at all.Good parents stay on the nest, slap me sometimes with their wing.
