Welcome Nick, I notice on the other thread that you our a falconer. I lost a bird to a hawk I couldn't identify,maybe you could help. It appeared to be slightly smaller than a redtail and much darker. It just slid into the kit at about 500ft and picked off a bird with no effort what so ever. I am pretty famialar with most of the residents here,Redtail,Red shouldered,coopers and sharpies
at it didn't look or hunt like any of these. Any ideas?
Just want to know what I am dealing with. Oh by the way I am in Northeast ohio.

That is a hybred falcon Ron. He travels from Sandusky up to Youngstown and back. I have not seen him for several days because he is visiting you. Good luck with him.
My birds this year figured out how to fend themselves against him. They dive straight down when he is on their tail thinking that they are going to smash to the ground. He just sneeks up on them from nowhere.

Welcome Nick. this site has some very knowledgeable pigeon people. They are crabby once in a while but always willing to help.They have been a great help to me. The Chat thing is great also. Good luck with your birds.
