I understand that protein brings up the strength right around the keel. What kind of seed could I feed them to bring up the chest a little bit?

I believe peas have the highest protien that I know of! You can do a "Google search" and get some info on feed! Some pellets have high protien also!
Protien with lots of exercise will build proper muscle, if the genetics are there!
I have been a weight lifter my whole life. Protien is the main key for building muscle! I want all I can get! On rollers though, you can build to much muscle! They get too strong and they can resist the roll!
Something that you will have to play with! Different strains of birds can have different results! Talk to the breeder that you aquired your birds from! ---------- Val

I would say to up the protien a bit and make sure their getting plenty of fly time! Genetics have to be there!
If that doesn't work, get them a little bench press and some dumbells and put them on a strict workout! ---------- Val
