HI,i have a friend with a little problem one of his pair mate flew alway on accident believe was his cock bird,now hes left with one bird and two i think about one week old youngs can she raise them both by her self..any advice? Thank You.

She will have a hard time but I think she will be able to do it. Depends on the parent. Make sure she leaves a lot of food for them and water.. good luck with them.. This happens a lot with homers.. when people fly them one might get eaten or something and the other mate has to take care of them!

I have 2 extra hens in my breeders loft. They both went down on eggs about the same time! Don't know which cocks topped them, but one of them hatched them all by her self, fed then and I just pulled them yesterday and put them on the ground! They are as healthy as any others.

The other hen gave up after about 10 days!

It can be done, just depends on whether they have the heart or not!

The one that made it, will be kept for a foster mother if she doesn't pan out as a breeder! She just earned a little place in my heart!
