J, You better get the ants before they start eating your chicks. Ants might be little but they are voracious little buggers. If it is feasible put down some ant bait or get some Terro from Walmart.

Alot of good stuff,, what I have found that works really well,, is poultry powder.. comes in a kinda long narrow can and Ill sweep, scrape then powder the floors and perches with this stuff,, and if thats unavelable then try,, garden dust,,it works well also.. Iv'e been using the two for years with great results....I even sprinkle it around the perimiter of the loft... also if you have wire floors with a catch for the droppings cover the droppings with it ... by by fly's...LOL hope this helps... ---------- "Home of the Ghost Town Roller" K.C.R.C

Clean the loft more. Maybe they are attracted to poops. Maybe you can use those pest strips as well and if you can spray safe insecticides outside the loft so much the better.

Cleaning your loft periodically will help out a great deal. I check on the floor bedding at least once a week. If I see any signs of"bugs". I remove all floor treatments and spray accordingly. Especially in "HOT & HUMID" weather this tends to promote the problem..
