I never had the opportunity to be introduce to my birds at a young age.my pops never wanted me with pigeons period i had to sneak to the roof everyday.it was worth the beating i got..
So every opportunity i get to share my rollers to a kid i grab it. Here is my next door neighbors kid i let feed my rollers one night he is 2 years old at first he was afraid but now he loves it..

PR rollers, I have pics of me at about that age in my fathers racing lofts. I also have pics of my sons in my roller lofts. The sons are now busy with the girls but they still stop to watch the birds with me sometimes and take care of them whenever I'm in the sand box. :)

Ralph, Alot of good memories! I often look back and wonder where I'd be today if it wasn't for the birds. I bought my first house so I could birds. Time spent in the backyard with the birds kept me home and the wife happy for 26 years. Yeah, I owe the hobby alot!

Yeah i hear you Katyroller, I at times tell my wife how some roller guys are getting divorse because they spent more time with the birds than with them. she says i like looking out the window and seeing you in the loft with your birds and knowing you not out with other womens or hanging out. just where i want you she says..but i know what you mean life aint nothing but trouble for some and this keeps us out of it..
There was this one lady that comment to my wife once ,your hubby is always with those birds never goes out, what a life.

Only to find out her husband was out with another women she busted him in a bar with ..go figure huh..

Jerry thats gravel but see how it looks clean well i never clean it ...its stays that way because they are only in this area when they come in from flying ,,or bathing or eating. and back to their kitbox .now under the kitbox i keep a sqaure box with cat litter and once its full i change it,once every 3 weeks .2 ft away from under them bottom ground ..
