The next three photos will be of Aubrey's loft. Left, middle, and right portions. I could not get far enough away to get it all in.

This Jay Thibodeaux. He is Aubrey's son and the person who got Aubrey into pigeons. Jay gets no credibility for his wares as a roller man, but is the man behind it all.
Jay Thibodeaux

This is Una Thibodeaux who keeps it all together. She and Aubrey have been married for 50 years. She is a fine lady.

This is Eldon Cheney and Aubrey Thibodeaux with the morning coffee in preparation for the fly.
Aubrey and Eldon

This is Floyd LeBouef. A friend and a flyer. A real good guy.
Floyd LeBouef

This is Linda Siders who has been married to this butthole for 40 years and was kind enough to take the 9 hour car ride to watch pigeons fly with me.
Linda Siders

I want to close out this post by telling everyone that the birds Aubrey flys are the best I have ever seen(ever). He scored 1135 points and is currently in second place in the WC.

What is the background of Aubreys Birds?
Are they the jaconettes that Bobby Bradley had?

Aubrey's birds are either a mixture of Jac's and Taylor's; straight Taylor's; and Joe Roe birds are in there someway, too. He has had the bases of the current family sinse about 1986 and has just recently added the Taylor birds. The talk in that area of the world is not pro Bobby Bradley and I don't know why; the man is dead and I am not going to dig him up. I had my own relationship with Bobby Bradley.

AK,

I think you are right about the plants. There are all kinds of plants about the place. Aubrey is a cajun and has sheep; all kinds of chickens; peafowl; pigeons; rabbits; all kinds of plants and he eats them all(LOL).

You know what they say; if there is a water filled ditch a cajun can eat and eat well.

I'm not sure why this was brought up, but I'll go there, it is called "jealousy" Bobby got too good too fast, and he was loved by many in the sport, some didn't like that.
I didn't always agree with him, but I considered him a true friend and it was a sad day when we lost him, for those that are trashing his good name, screw them.

Scott,
I swapped e-mails with Bobby. He was always ready to talk birds. I consider it an honor to have birds from his loft. It inspires me to try to do great things and honor his contributions and his memory.

Keep in mind that the disapproval of Bobby Bradly was not from Aubrey. Aubrey does not talk about anyone; pro or con. They were 8 other flyers in a 25 mile radious from Aubrey who made comments; Aubrey is above that and will not get involved in it.

Just for the record.

You Mentioned that " Jay gets no credibility for his wares as a roller man but is the man behind it all"

Aubrey seem to score better in the flies than Jay Thibodeaux. Aubrey probably spends and has more time to be with the birds.

The Thibodeaux's have produced some good birds from what I can tell from a distance. They have been breeding the birds for some time now, but it sound like mosts are uncertain of the background of the birds.

Brad,

Jay has not pursued competition flying and just does it to support the local club and his dad. He also gives a lot of guidance to his father and is responsible for a lot of the pairings in the breeder loft. He does possess some very high quality birds, but because he rarely flys them and as a consequence he is not competitive. I do believe that if he does get involved his dad may find himself in second place. Jay is also heavily into show chickens and spends a great deal of time with them. Jay is also working 6 and 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours each day. I was there until about three years ago and I can tell you that you just don't have the time and enegy needed to do those things that would make you a winner.

Just my take.

Aubrey flys 30 to 35 birds in a kit when training and exercising them. He also flys several older birds with his youngsters for training purposes. He will also fly his very young birds in the wind.

He uses a mixture of pellets and milo with his kit birds.

Just thought I would bring up some practices Aubrey uses that may be a little different to what is normally done.

He does not tolerate many errors from his birds once they get 8 months old and older. Things like out birds; rolldowns; and landing early he has little tolerance for; meaning he gives them little opportunity to correct if any.
