I agree, I use seven dust too! I sneak in my wife's dresser and cut me a chunk out of the legging of her panty hose. Then poor about a cup of seven dust in them and tie it at the top, then you just pat it against your birds and it distributes pretty evenly! I always dust the bottom of the nestbowls and boxes before they start building their nest too! Specially handy around babies that are too little to dip!

Note: always hide the dust stocking, so your wife doesn't figure out who's cutting up her hose!

Most anywhere that sells plants and gardening supplies! Its really common for insects on plants!

I would still get some dip( permectrin) or something though! The dust has to be re-applied often, the dip will stay effective longer!

All I've ever used is the permectin that Tony sells, it worked great though! Last year, I used it once in the spring and once in the late summer and they were clean all year! I need to dose them this year, but I haven't noticed any signs of parasites, so I guess I haven't thought about it! I know the mosquitoes are starting to get thick and they will eventually get after the birds at night! It will help against them too!

That dust stuff doesn't have to be reapplied often if you feed your birds crushed garlic in their water once every couple 3 weeks.

I'm gonna get some garlic this weekend Kel! You were spot on with the ACV so I'm gonna give the garlic a go!

You make me feel guilty with the all natural stuff! I was raised all natural, but some where I got off track! My parents live by it, and they get around better than me now!

jnyce.. Try and find louse powder. It come in a tubular cylinder. But I am not sure what all stores you have there in the U.S. so I can't recommend any stores. So you should maybe buy some from this site if it is available. :)
