2nd Annual ThunderBirds Lawn Show
August 23rd, 2008
Visalia, CA
The ThunderBirds Roller Club will be having a lawn show on August 23, 2008 in Visalia. Come and meet some of the best fliers from Southern California and Northern California. There will be plenty of things to be raffle off including a kit box. There will also be some very good birds that will be auctioned off. Come and join us. Lunch will be for free.
Categories for the lawn show:
1. Best young hen
2. Best young cock
3. Best old hen
4. Best old cock
5. Grand champ
6. Best opposite sex
Registration Fee of $3 per bird. Registration will be from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Plaques will be awarded to the winners.
Possible list of birds to be auctioned off from: Joe Emberton, Juan Navarro, Dave Vang, Aris Punla, Keith London, Scott Campbell, Arnold Jackson, Ken Firl, Willie Wright, John Mosqueda, and others.
Directions from Southern California: Take the I-5 north then the 99 North to Fresno. Exit the 198 East to Visalia. First exit is Plaza Drive. Take that exit, make a right, and it will lead you straight to the park.
Directions from Northern California: Take the 99 south to Visalia. Exit 198 east towards Visalia. First exit is Plaza Drive. Take that exit, make a right, and it will lead you straight to the park.

There is also a small pond if some of you guys would like to bring your family and have the kids go fishing. Don't know if there are any fishes in there but Sid swears that he caught a whale in there last time, lol.

Dave, Sid, and Ruben. I spoke to Joe E the other day and asked him if it would be ok to donate a kit of 10 squeekers to your event. I have 10 young birds just out of the nest and nobody at home to fly them so rather than let them sit in a kit box I wanted to donate them to a good cause. I hope this works for you guys and if so give me a call at 530-216 8366 and we can set up a date and time to meet to pick up the birds. Joe
