This is the first time this has happen. I had a pair who had squabs...the squabs have all feathers and within two days the cock has peck the back of their heads where they are bleeding and know more feathers....what can I put on it...or just leave it along? Did he do this because they have another set of eggs now?

That is one aggresive cock! Make sure he has another nesting bowl or somthing because he will continue doing this! If it comes down to it seperate the cock for a day or two and see what hapends! ---------- N/A Loft

I have had this happen to a squab before and I put some Neosporin antibiotic ointment directly on the raw wound. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Put the hen back to feed and pull the cock, he is now useless in stock, put him back in the kitbox. ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

Yeah,I wouldn't keep a cock like that in the breeding loft.Put the squeakers on the floor and they'll get fed allright by the other cocks in there.I always put the squeaks on the floor if the hen lays more eggs or by 17 days of age even if she hasn't started another round. ---------- Kel. The squabs have been eating on there own for a couple of days now...so they are pretty healthy.
