I go in about 10 times a day. Right before bed too usually unless I have a movie to watch lol. My birds are very tame, they carve the top of my head with their nails all of the time.. haha I would say well today so far I have been in there about two hours.. probably even more! :) and will still go in later..

Normally,I just get to see them before and sometimes after work(if it's not dark when I get home) and the weekends.I was out of work for about 2 months from surgury,i just went back the other day.I was probably spending about 4 hours a day with them.I like to just sit and watch them eat or take a bath if I'm not flying them.I put some spinach in with them last week.I was sitting in a beach chair watching them eat with the sun shining on me and fell asleep. It was great and I can't wait until I can do it full time.Just being around them by myself really mellows me out. If I am lucky and hour in the mornings, and then 30 minutes at night. I have to get out of bed early to get the hour in the morning. Lucky my commute to work is about 30 seconds long, if I stroll to work. So I don't have to get up to early.

As much as I can, I'm retired but I work a secondary vocation. I'm lucky in that my schedule allows me to set my work time as I see fit. I'm in the loft at six a.m., lights on, then after breakfast, light cleaning, make sure water for all, food and water for breeders. Work, :-( Gots to eat! In by noon, mostly, it's nice to be boss! Open up, check temp. winter heat, summer fans, water and feed, handle everyone not on a nest! Touch those that are! Afternoon, deep cleaning, handle all, touch again. Redundant? Yes, but can you possible be to consistent? I think the more contact with your birds the better you will understand their condition, which includes fitness and mental. A bird easly handled is a content bird and more likely to be what you want. Helps with my levels, I always feel better returning from the loft! Sorry for the long paragraph, I just couldn't stop. ;-))
