A friend called me this morning with a problem, the babies in the nest seem to have diarreia. He say's he had it once before but doesnt remember what he did to cure it. I have never had this problem, but told him I knew where to find the answer. Has anyone else had this problem?

Add rice to their feed. Rice will harden their droppings a bit.

I was told to put cider vinegar in their water for it. One tablespoon per gallon. Has anyone heard of that?

I had not heard of the rice. I will tell him to try that. The weather might also be a factor. Thanks for the info, I'll pass it on. I usally put the apple vinegar my waterers twice a month. and it seems to do something, I know my kit can fly longer on the same ration they were getting befor I started using it, and the squabs are stronger out of the nest. ---------- They gotta Spin to win.....Jay

Uncooked rice. Add about 10% to the feed. You will be happy with the results.

Hey Jay Spin how is the hot weather in the central part of the state? I thoght you were out working with the horses and acting like a cowpoke. Check it out at the Visalia roller show. You just might get a chance to see your ole buddy Jack Meyers. Remember all the great looking rollers you got from him? They were more colorfull than the birds you got from Cornell. Sammy Williams was your student when you lived in Turlock,California. What about the time you drove my ole Lincoln 100 miles an hour to Idaho? The trucks were passing us like we were standing still. That was a nice casino we spent some time in and it was hard to leave. The Kenny birds would make a good cross with your Monty birds. Hope to hear from you in the near future ole compadri. How about forty three quarter turns or forty full turns in twenty minutes? You can include good style and velosity 20-40 feet too. Jay keep your eyes open and watch the kit because yoi have a good chance scoring great this year. Good luck amigo, Ray Sanchez.

Hey Ray, how are you? The weather is getting hot,101 yesterday and it is hot today too. I have been flying in the evenings now, I kick them out between 7:00 and 7:30 and they fly for 30- 40 min. I took 5 pair out of my only kit and that left me 14 to fly. I am starting a young kit of 15 squeakers. By flying in the evenings I dont seem to have the BOP's around. I saw Jack awhile back, he stopped by to pick up some birds for Gonzolvo. I called and told them about the Visalia table show. I'm sure the Modesto crew will show up. I'm going to bring a few birds down for it. Ray I will NEVER for get that trip, that PRA show in Bosie was one of the best pigeon get togthers I was ever at. The mark 5 was a running machine, do you still have it? I will Email you my phone # and you can send me yours. Those guys down in Visalia have a pretty tight club, reminds me of the CCRC in the 70s and 80s. I see Rich Naftzgar now and then, I need to call him too. I will call you when I get your # ------ They gotta Spin to win.....Jay
