let say you have a group of only blue bar roller pigeon...[maleandfemale] in the group.. do you ever wonder how they tell each other apart like who is there mate and who is just another pigeon??? kinda weird bcas to the human eye they all look alike (for instance if you fly only a kit of bluebar roller pigeons)

The same way we do, each bird has it's own personality. Watch your birds for awhile and you will see what I'm talking about.

I have no idea how old you are but at my age you will have watched you children in countless school plays and now your grandchildren. You will have absolutly no trouble finding their smiling faces in a sea of bouncing overacting young ones! I will also quarantee you will be able to find your wife in the croud that surrounds the stage afterwards.
How? In the immortal words of Bill Cosby, "I don't know!"

yeah I had that once and it was quite amazing of how they tell each other apart..my blue bar hen chose a red check self as her partner and when the male died she never continue on.. until another red check self comes along ...so its like she goes only for the color...its weird but that's how she choose her mate

First off I dont let my birds choose their mate and I have had 60 -70% self blacks for years and I have my stock birds go after the ash reds and the rec reds just as if they were blacks. Once I put them in a cage together after they have been isolated by gender for more that just a couple days they wouldn't care if the pigeon was purple. If it cood it got bred. JMHO. Joe
