Feeding Milo alone for an extended period of time is NOT good. They will deteriorate on Milo alone. Their performance becomes sloppy and the birds get light (losing weight rapidly). Best is mixing Wheat/Milo 50/50. However, after awhile you will notice that you need to give them straight wheat for couple of days.

Watch your birds sometime when they are eating. Some birds go after just the milo. If you monitor them for a couple weeks you will notice that those "Milo Eaters" are always hungry. Nothing worse than a bird that wants to live on only milo. A kit will go down hill quick if they are kept on milo for extended periods. I use it only to drop weight after a long shutdown.
