I had my first real roll today. I have had these birds for a little over a month now. they consist of some year old birds that have never flown and 6 young birds. I had them up this morning and they were doing there normal tail sitting and flipping. Then one took of and spun like crazy for 15 or 20 feet. It was awesome. I can't wait for them all to get the hang of it.
Today was the first day the older birds kitted to.

I put them up again tonight. And the Dang bird did it again. I have at least one roller in the group. It also took another with it this time (10 to 15 feet). They rolled at the same time. It was cool. I can't wait to fly them in the morning.
These Birds are all Dark Checks. How do you tell them apart in the air? I am sure the roller is one of the 6 young birds Just wondering which one.
Thanks everyone.

Yesterday so good today not so much. I flew this morning and the bird rolled a few times. Then they came in. I have a pinion pine next to the kit box, and he rolled right threw it. Even the branches could not stop him. He landed on the ground. And took off for the kit. I think he would have stopped before he landed on the ground if the tree wouldn't got in the way.
Any way had a few more actually roll and not just flip. Mostly 5 to 10 feet. they are improving. Two fly's a day really seems to help.
It is exciting to see them improve.

Just wait RT their's a lot more to come. I'm getting excited about my birds to. I've been trying to do videos of them. I'm going to try posting my first one on this forum. That is hard taking a video of a bunch of rollers.
