i have a "female" that hasn't reached one year of age yet.. the mother to the "female" did at least 5 rolls....and the father/cock to that "female" did more like 30+..the "female" extemely suck..it only does one flip at a time..but i was amazed by her father/cock...if i mated to a cock that rolls good,could/does the 30 foot cock (her dad)show up in their babys???

Hey rollinfever the "female" is referred to as a hen. I dont see why you would breed the mother in the first place,as she only rolled 5 times, 5 countable times. The father 30, yet you were able to count the revolutions of each bird. If that were the case I would have not bred either, one word SPEED!!! Why would you breed the hen in question if she is only flipping and is less than one years of age, time on the wing? PLUS you state she extemely sucks. With just that i dont see why you still have her let alone ask a breeding question. From the information you listed I would only see fit, and the best conclusion is that you breed the FATHER to a good hen, and from their you should see some results. Good luck!

When you get a good bird, you can not count how many times it rolls, you will know when you see it!

Pat , when i was a newbie the guys would say you will know when you see it and i wondered what they ment but this is a very true statement. When you see a good roller in the air your wondering did i see that and then the little kid in you comes out do it again ,do it again lol. I guess im still a little kid in a sense because every day i stand under my kits until dark thinking do it again. My advice would be to find a rollerman close to you and go visit with him it will give you a idea of what you want and the capabilities of these little birds.I had to drive 5 hours but it was worth every minute.
