What are some of the things that you have done to increase the chances on fertility on a Cock or Hen?
I have a 9 year old cock as well as an 11 and 15 year old cock. They were all fertile last season but are shooting blanks this season. Is there anything I can do to get them going again?
I also have an 8 year old hen that hasn't laid for a little over a month. How can I get her to lay?
Any advise will help.

I shave the feathers near the vents on the hen and on the cock.
I leave them were they geth plenty of direct sun light.
Cock fertility pills and hens.
Plenty of grit and oyster shells.
Good mix grain 15.5% or breeders conditioner.
Plug some feathers out.
Nice size individual cage. When they are old some can't fight on a open loft.

Efren To increase your odds of getting fertile eggs from those old and proven breeders Every thing Quickspin mention is on the money..one more important thing to do is give them a vitamin E tablet every other day this will enhance sexual functioning.also use a 100 watts bulb will do the trick keeping the loft well lit for about 16 hours or more it will stimulate the pituitary gland which regulate the sex hormones in cock and hen.keep that bird healthy, good health is good super good health is best...make sure she gets plenty of exercise... good luck ...

Efren the only one that seems that will have problems is the 15 year old. Usually they will shoot a blank and then a good one or just 1 good one out of the two. You just need to keep trying him and breed them with a younger hen no two old birds together. I have a old bird that is 15 years old and was starting to shoot blanks so I rest him for 3 months fed him up and got him in shape. Now he is breeding again and the eggs are fertile.
