I wanna move some pairs out of my ibp's asap, they all have a pair of youngsters. If I move them to my open loft(not the same loft..I mean move youngsters and parent to a totally different loft) when the young are ready to hit the floor, will the parents still take care of them even tho they produced them in the pens? ---------- "ROLLIN INTO 08"

Well i moved some of my pairs into my newly finished loft and the parents still took care of them. My youngsters were about 2 weeks old. It worked for me but i can't guarantee it. Good luck

Frenchroll you shouldn't have a problem, the only time I don't move and its not a good idea to move them is when the pair are sitting on eggs thats when they get real picky and some won't warm the eggs.they just stay away.. ---------- Ralph

2 weeks of going to the floor is good.Parents still feed them, gets the poop out of the IBP and gives the breeders more incentive to lay more eggs. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

thanx Santandercol but I didn't mean just opening the ibp doors, I meant moving young & parents to an unfamiliar open loft, is this your understanding? ---------- "ROLLIN INTO 08"

like Raf said,if it's just the young and no eggs you won't have a problem. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts
